Logo após a realização da abdominoplastia, o paciente já consegue notar os novos contornos. É normal que haja inchaço nesse período, portanto, devem ser tomados todos os cuidados necessários que citamos acima para uma recuperação tranquila, e sem complicações. O resultado Cirurgia Plástica definitivo, em que o paciente apresenta a completa cicatrização, ocorre a partir do oitavo mês após a abdominoplastia. Porém, um controle adequado de peso, alimentação saudável e boa hidratação da pele ajudam muito a evitar a perda do resultado da cirurgia.

Isso ocorre porque a miniabdominoplastia é um procedimento eletivo e sua segurança está acima de tudo. Estudos mostraram que há um aumento no risco de complicações após a cirurgia para pessoas com um IMC acima de 30. A cicatriz resultante de uma abdominoplastia completa é semelhante e tem a mesma posição da de uma miniabdominoplastia, mas normalmente é mais longa, indo de um lado do quadril ao outro. Mesmo assim, a cicatriz de abdominoplastia costuma ficar escondida sob o biquíni. Se estiver incomodado com a aparência de seu baixo-ventre, uma miniabdominoplastia pode ajudá-lo a obter resultados muito bons, com uma cicatriz menor do que a da abdominoplastia e com uma recuperação relativamente curta. O ideal é optar por esse procedimento apenas quando o excesso de gordura não é tão grande, já que não é uma cirurgia que visa o emagrecimento, mas sim a definição corporal.

Quais são os riscos desta cirurgia?

Existem centenas de trabalhos científicos que demonstram variações técnicas da associação da abdominoplastia e lipoaspiração. Por exemplo, mais recentemente a revistaAeshtetic Plastic Surgerypublicou uma nova abordagem da abdominoplastia com lipoaspiração chamada TULUA. Essa abordagem é uma possível variante de técnicas já conhecidas por todos os cirurgiões plásticos. É comum que haja inchaço e desconforto na região abdominal nos primeiros dias após a cirurgia, sendo necessário o uso de medicamentos para alívio da dor. Depois a incisão, o cirurgião remove o excesso de pele e gordura e reconstrói os músculos abdominais, suturando-os para obter uma aparência mais firme e tonificada.
